Changing Font on Outlook Mobile App for Android

Yeah that's not a solution. Some people send a lot of emails from their phones. Don't pretend like it's not insane for the Outlook Android app to have no ability to change the font normally.

Is it possible to change the font on the Outlook mobile app for android? I don't see an option to change the font within the actual app and even if I change the font for the entire phone it still appears as Calibri. I want to change it to Times New Roman (consistent with my desktop default font). I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S10+, but I do not think that makes a difference.

Please stop blaming the creators. They provide us with something better than nothing. If you think outside the box, you still have the option to set the default font according to your preference.

1. Send yourself an email from a laptop or desktop using your desired font, font size, and color.
2. Open that email on your Android or iOS device and copy the desired font.
3. Go to the Outlook settings on your Android or iOS device and click on Signature.
4. Remove the available text and paste the copied font and save it.

Although the default Outlook font will appear when you type the first letter, you can start writing your email from the signature text to continue using your preferred font. This works for both new drafts and responses to received emails.

Give it a try and thank me later. There's always a solution if you consider the creators.

Here is a workaround that seems to be working for me.

• Open the Outlook mobile app.
• Open and copy a few lines of text including a blank line from an email that has the desired font.
• Go to settings and then signature. Paste the copied text.
• Delete all the pasted text except for the single blank line.
• You can add a signature below that blank line if desired (even with a different font if you do another copy-paste).
• Save and close.

Everytime you create or reply to an email, the signature gets auto added and the font is preset. Typing below the auto added blank line will use that font. You can delete the blank line afterwards.

FOUND A QUICK FIX:

Tap Reply

Copy a word from the original message body (to copy format)

Paste into start of reply body

Start typing after the copied word and hey presto correct font!

Delete copied first word

This is absolutely basic functionality I would expect to see in free software. How on earth this omission can continue to stand after years of updates defies logic.
