Many unsolicited Microsoft verification codes.

I'm getting a few codes minute for the last hour or so.  I've checked to see if someone was accessing my account and there was no evidence of it.  I'm receiving texts from a handful of numbers and i don't want to block them in since i do need to get verification code from time to time, and the number i get the code from varies.

    I'm having the same issue - hundreds and hundreds of these messages in the last two hours, HELP.  There doesn't appear to be any unknown activity on my account, but the message continue to come in at several per minute from early this morning.

    I keep getting unsolicited ine use codes from microsoft.  I have gotten so many that i have lost track of how many i have been sent?

    I keep having the same issue - about one a day.  The last was today and I was asleep.  Now, I wonder if it's my own computer or phone doing it if I left the VPN on and it things I'm someone else.  I don't know.  However, I don't think so.  To get to that stage don't you have to have already been successful with the password?  I even changed my password and it still happened today, so I am not sure.  Now, it could be my crazy ex, but I can't tell.

    Hello,

    this morning 2020/08/27 I received a mail from : Microsoft account team <******@accountprotection.microsoft.com> with this tittle : "Say goodbye to phone call verification, hello to new options" and this first line :

    Update your Microsoft account verification options to sign in smoothly

    I didn't responsed and put the mail into the PC trash ! Was I right ?
