Dear,
I have similar issue: for the previous company i was working for, i inserted my phone as double factor security for several team account i was in charge. But now that i left the company, i continue to receive SMS for this double factor authentification.
I already alerted the IT team of my previous company. But for now, nothing change, is there a way to check and validate/unvalidate all the mail adresses linked to my phone number?
Hi AubryDejong,
Out of the insane amout of people simply stating to have the same issue, your situation are more relevant to my own. I believe that most of the reported issues are more connected to the phone number than to the actual account.
My situation; I'm IT support for multiple companies, supporting around 4000 users. I use a company mobile phone which in the past belonged to the village idiot, whom used this number to setup multiple end users for verification.
My question; did you manage to get your phone number removed from the accounts? If so how?
The best advise I got so far was to press 0# instead of just # when called from a Microsoft number if not initiated by yourself, which are meant to block the account causing the user to contact support and being identified. This worked for a while but seems to be disabled as an option now. Text messages unfortunately never had a solution other than ignoring them.
