Many unsolicited Microsoft verification codes.

I'm getting a few codes minute for the last hour or so.  I've checked to see if someone was accessing my account and there was no evidence of it.  I'm receiving texts from a handful of numbers and i don't want to block them in since i do need to get verification code from time to time, and the number i get the code from varies.

    In my case, I think it was due to my company's VPN connection timing out. I think Outlook or something would then try to log me in. The last time I got one of these texts, I logged into my work computer and saw a dialog asking for the code and that Microsoft had sent a text message to my phone number. I don't know where the prompt originated from, but I checked the Event Viewer and saw that it seemed to correspond to the VPN connection timing out.

    So if you get one or two texts a night, try manually disconnecting from your VPN when you're done for the day. If you're getting a ton in a short amount of time, someone's probably trying to hack you.

    Edit - Actually, I think the prompt might be originating from multiple apps, resulting in multiple texts. Outlook, MS Teams, and OneNote all seem to be likely culprits.
