Many unsolicited Microsoft verification codes.

I'm getting a few codes minute for the last hour or so.  I've checked to see if someone was accessing my account and there was no evidence of it.  I'm receiving texts from a handful of numbers and i don't want to block them in since i do need to get verification code from time to time, and the number i get the code from varies.

    I too am getting random verification code messages. This is so dumb, all someone has to do is guess your email at the log in screen, then when it prompts them for a password they click 'Forgot password?' and they are provided options for retrieving a verification code. If your backup email has the same name as your outlook email, as in, my outlook account might be test123<at>outlook.com, and my backup email would be test123<at>gmail.com ...pretty easy to guess and pretty easy to spam me with "reset password" emails. 

    On the surface this is just really annoying, but it also makes it hard to tell when I have a real security issue with my account.

    Hello, I'm also getting multiple password reset codes today sent to my alternate email address by Microsoft.  The sending address is clearly microsoft, not a scam address.  Someone is attempting to login to my account, not succeeding, and prompting these codes.   

    I would like to report this to MS so they can back-track, but there is no functional path through the MS online support process nor through the 800 number voice-tree to report this.  Using the online system, I eventually get the "virtual agent" to the point where it gives me a link and says "email us".   However, the link is non-functional and only opens another copy of outlook.com without providing a 'to' address to whom I should sent the information.  

    How do I report the details to MS Security?  "Is there anybody in there?  Just nod if you can hear us -"

    That happened to me today and when I looked at my accoutn there has been several unsuccesful attempts to get into my account.
