What the heck happend to the EXCLUSIVE setting in Outlook - I'm getting Russian **** in my inbox!

Just started getting Russian women and male body part emails in my inbox.  I used to have exclusive setting checked.  Where in the heck did that go???  I see that in 2013 lots of people had issues with unwanted spam in their inboxes.  They were told to set exclusive settting.  I really wish Microsoft would quit pushing me to go to gmail!

    My inbox inundation also started around 17Jan2020, and I also have the box checked to only receive emails from safe senders list. Clearly selection this is being ignored as I was getting spam emails once every 90 seconds. This is a new event for me as well. Up until a few days ago the junk filter was catching everything. 

    Funny thing is that it seems like most of the spam is coming from ******@vertical-aff.com so I created a rule to block "subject and content" as well as "sender" as "vertical-aff.com". I also changed my PW. Now only a couple of inappropriate emails are sneaking through. I would be interested in knowing how to stop the vertical-aff source.

    Same thing started happening to me either Friday or Saturday evening and all weekend (January 19, 2020). I've spent all weekend fending off the spam from my inbox. Didn't change anything. All spam would go to junk and I would give it a quick once over to be sure an important new client wasn't trying to reach me and then would simply block and delete the rest, but now my inbox is out of control. I hope Microsoft is aware of this and working on a fix.

    Weird stuff started happening to me as well. I have both my corporate exchange email box started and personal email on my phone so yesterday notifications from my personal email started showing spam. I'm sure either outlook servers are hacked or their recent update screwed things up badly. I have since deleted my account off my phone to avoid all of the spam. Might start looking for other service providers if this keeps up.
