Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
It still seems to be not possible to open emails in the desktop app. I'm on Mac and I use Microsoft Todo with Outlook Classic.

When I open MS to Do app and open whether it is an email flagged or a task from my planner in teams when I try to open it, it opens in the web-based instead of the desktop. Am I missing a connector to my desktop or something?

Hello Diane,
It's been 4 years, **** is the fix for this??? This cannot be so hard to fix. Maybe MS should try putting us customers first, instead of trying to force everyone on to the God awful Outlook web.
I had our IT department flag that to MS enterprise support and they have acknowledged that it is a known issue, but don't have resources to get it fixed at least for this year. Hopefully next!
The "New Outlook" is basically the website.
I would like Ms To Do to open emails in the classic outlook (the one and only usable one...). But I suspect if this is ever being implemented, it will only work with the "New Outlook".
Just another one of Microsoft's half-baked features. They either never follow through with user suggestions to fully make things functional, or they remove and break features when they are fully functional.
