ToDo, Flagged Emails and opening in Outlook Desktop

When I open MS to Do app and open whether it is an email flagged or a task from my planner in teams when I try to open it, it opens in the web-based instead of the desktop. Am I missing a connector to my desktop or something?

Hmm well linking directly to the web version isn't helpful and pretty much makes it useless if it doesn't take a person to where they really need to be, I'm sure this will be another reason for people not to deal with the service.

Not being able to open emails in the Outlook desktop app is a major failing of the To Do app.
If you can't change To Do so it opens in the desktop app at least allow the full email text to be viewable within the To Do app.

    Hi,

While the above is correct, that is when you click the "Open in Outlook" link it will open the email using Outlook desktop version, however the same cannot be said if you click on "Open in Outlook" while in To Do..... it still trys to open the email using the Outlook online which I never use.....

Any update on this bug ???

I agree this is a much needed feature - how do we get it prioritised on the backlog?

Please can this be included as a feature, it is massively helpful to bringing in this tool to less tech confident team members as it is the programme they are used to and fully set up on.
