Indexing problems Outlook - Windows 11

Hi all,

Windows implemented some search indexing improvements in the latest Windows 11 update, July 21, 2022—KB5015882 (OS Build 22000.829) Preview (microsoft.com). Please make sure you have the latest updates installed and see if these help.

I will be adding these updates to the Outlook Known Issue shortly as well, Outlook Search might not display recent emails on Windows 11 (microsoft.com). Windows is supposed to be adding a release note in their article soon too.

Thanks a lot for your help...this solution works for me....I was struggling since I updated to Windows 11. Finally we got a solution which works...a million thanks.. :-)

I have a similar problem which started a month ago following a Windows 11 update? When Indexing is running, one of my three Outlook 2016 email account says it can't find anything when I start a search. If I stop the Indexing service, Outlook now finds results but slowly as it has nothing indexed of course. At other times I get an error occurred message, This appears to be a Windows 11/Outlook 2016 problem and awaits a MS fix.

I posted a new Known Issue topic to share awareness of the issue and track fix status, Outlook Search might not display recent emails on Windows 11 (microsoft.com). The Windows Team is working on some search throttling improvements, and I will update when I know those changes will ship.
