What shortcut might archive messages on outlook.live.com?

On several occasions, I have accidentally archived messages while typing them. Possibly sometimes while reviewing them. I have done this while typing a combination of keys. Lately, there is a prompt after it happens, and I can undo it. Previously, there wasn't. I have asked outlook support, but the person helping me does not believe me. He keeps insisting that it is E just because the references say so. However, I typed capital E multiple time in response e-mails, and it didn't do anything (thus debunking the reference). Also, it doesn't make sense that Microsoft would program a capital letter without any other key with it for a shortcut, when people might be typing it in e-mails. It could in fact, be in somebody's first name, so that doesn't make sense. I have given two reasons why it doesn't.

i am getting absolutely no help from Outlook support. I have told the person multiple times that I did not type capital E (besides typing it multiple times in the e-mail). These people also seem to think that unlinking my phone is the solution to everything. He knows that the e-mails keep getting archived by me typing on my computer' keyboard, but he wants me to unlink my phone to solve it. I sometimes feel like some of those people may just be searching for instructions to help people. Indeed, I have had a different problem that solved on its own after it was caused and fixed after an outlook update. Throughout troubleshooting, they also thought it would fix it by unsyncing my phone. That particular solution was given to me for three different issues, and for two of them, it was solved without doing so. The third one is this, but the factors involved prove it has nothing to do with my phone.

Please help if you have knowledge or experience in this issue. Archiving messages definitely has nothing to do with capital E.

    You have got to fix this most annoying bug before I throw my outlook in the trash and never use it again.

    FIX IT MICROSOFT! It happens constantly.

    Turning off the hot keys is what helped me. I definitely agree with the others who suggested this. My outlook has stopped randomly archiving whatever I am typing on.

    I tried the above and it didn't replicate for me - but the things I noticed that it does happen with is when I type a word and find that a letter didn't get hit hard enough, or for whatever reason, isn't there as it should be and I backspace to where I want it to be, and type it in - then within a couple letters it archives, AND opens a new message screen - EVERY TIME! For example - I type in 'this isn't working out like I ws expec' and I backspace to the ws to add in the a and then retype the next word, hitting the space bar in between words, EVERYTIME it archives before I get back to where I was. (If that makes sense).

    Any help to make this stop would be very much appreciated - I'm older (in my late 80's) and don't have time to mess around with having to make sure my emails I'm typing are working properly. I know I'm not hitting 2 keys at once, and I don't 'hunt and peck' type - I type fairly proficiently and just want this to stop doing this archive thing. It didn't start until about 2-3 months ago - so not sure if thats part of an update?

    Well, I found that now d+e isn’t archiving anymore. I had reported this to my last ticket that was escalated (that it was a shortcut that was doing it), and they did not reply. Now it seems to not happen. I think that they keep reprogramming the site and there is always some glitch that archives the message when typing. Their only explanations/solutions are as follows:

    1. it is shift+e
    2. turn off all shortcuts (which basically can turn off cut and paste in my opinion)
    3. unsync your phone (as it must be a client-side problem since Microsoft programmers do not make mistakes)

    I have also found that they do not seem to follow up with current tickets and it is very hard to open any tickets now. I have opened tickets with various questions and they are avoiding almost every questions and deflecting them. I’ve seen that in past tickets they have pretty much not solved anything. Things either get solved on their own or don’t get solved. I don’t understand what kind of support is with the email platform. This particular issue has not ever been resolved. It just seems like they keep changing the code. You cannot just rewrite code so that it will keep archiving emails while people type a different way. It should be a a complicated shortcut or be only while it is selected. I personally prefer saving as a draft if it is not in my inbox.
