What shortcut might archive messages on outlook.live.com?

On several occasions, I have accidentally archived messages while typing them. Possibly sometimes while reviewing them. I have done this while typing a combination of keys. Lately, there is a prompt after it happens, and I can undo it. Previously, there wasn't. I have asked outlook support, but the person helping me does not believe me. He keeps insisting that it is E just because the references say so. However, I typed capital E multiple time in response e-mails, and it didn't do anything (thus debunking the reference). Also, it doesn't make sense that Microsoft would program a capital letter without any other key with it for a shortcut, when people might be typing it in e-mails. It could in fact, be in somebody's first name, so that doesn't make sense. I have given two reasons why it doesn't.

i am getting absolutely no help from Outlook support. I have told the person multiple times that I did not type capital E (besides typing it multiple times in the e-mail). These people also seem to think that unlinking my phone is the solution to everything. He knows that the e-mails keep getting archived by me typing on my computer' keyboard, but he wants me to unlink my phone to solve it. I sometimes feel like some of those people may just be searching for instructions to help people. Indeed, I have had a different problem that solved on its own after it was caused and fixed after an outlook update. Throughout troubleshooting, they also thought it would fix it by unsyncing my phone. That particular solution was given to me for three different issues, and for two of them, it was solved without doing so. The third one is this, but the factors involved prove it has nothing to do with my phone.

Please help if you have knowledge or experience in this issue. Archiving messages definitely has nothing to do with capital E.

    I would just like to add to the chorus of individuals experiencing this most frustrating bug. I use Firefox to view the Outlook 365 web application - on a Mac. The issue is quite inconsistent - but when it happens, often happens 2-3 times in a row as I'm trying to compose ONE email. "e" definitely seems to be the culprit, as others have said, as "e" works consistently to archive messages when in the message list view. The "fast typing" theory is an interesting one, thanks to those of you put 2 and 2 together on that one.

    What I would love Microsoft to do is remove these inane shortcuts that are ONE letter. I've never heard of such a thing before.

    Like everybody else I am so happy to find that it's not just me. I touch type and have not been able to unpick what makes it happen as by the time it happens, I'm a couple of words ahead! It is so frustrating! Also, it appears to be a fairly new thing?

    Only just found this thread.

    I write perhaps 10-20 emails a day and my emails are constantly getting archived. This has been happening for 1 1/2 months if I remember correctly.

    I always sign into hotmail.com on my laptop to read/send emails. There apparently is no shortcut for archiving an email so I have no idea why it is doing this.

    I am definitely NOT accidentally tapping any other keys than I am typing as I've been trying to pay attention to what I am doing. And I know it is not something wrong with my keyboard, mouse or other hardware, as strange things do not happen when using any other application at all.

    I'd love someone to find a solution to this because it is getting very irritating when trying to send emails!

    Happening to me also, whenever I type the e key - quite often when it is a vowel. Using a laptop (Surface Pro 7) on outlook.live.com, using the cover keyboard (not touch)

    It keeps archiving the message. Workaround seems to be typing in wordpad/notepad or word online, then copy pasting it to outlook.live.com. Totally unecessary though, get it fixed Microsoft!
