On several occasions, I have accidentally archived messages while typing them. Possibly sometimes while reviewing them. I have done this while typing a combination of keys. Lately, there is a prompt after it happens, and I can undo it. Previously, there wasn't. I have asked outlook support, but the person helping me does not believe me. He keeps insisting that it is E just because the references say so. However, I typed capital E multiple time in response e-mails, and it didn't do anything (thus debunking the reference). Also, it doesn't make sense that Microsoft would program a capital letter without any other key with it for a shortcut, when people might be typing it in e-mails. It could in fact, be in somebody's first name, so that doesn't make sense. I have given two reasons why it doesn't.
i am getting absolutely no help from Outlook support. I have told the person multiple times that I did not type capital E (besides typing it multiple times in the e-mail). These people also seem to think that unlinking my phone is the solution to everything. He knows that the e-mails keep getting archived by me typing on my computer' keyboard, but he wants me to unlink my phone to solve it. I sometimes feel like some of those people may just be searching for instructions to help people. Indeed, I have had a different problem that solved on its own after it was caused and fixed after an outlook update. Throughout troubleshooting, they also thought it would fix it by unsyncing my phone. That particular solution was given to me for three different issues, and for two of them, it was solved without doing so. The third one is this, but the factors involved prove it has nothing to do with my phone.
Please help if you have knowledge or experience in this issue. Archiving messages definitely has nothing to do with capital E.

Definitely not sticky keys causing the problem. I do type around 100 words a minute, so a combination of keys is possible. However, I can't seem to reproduce it when I type the same sentence over and over after it happens. No idea what is going on. That said, this has not happened in several months, so perhaps there was a patch that fixed it.
Funny that I tried to get it to reproduce and make a video of it, but then I could not get it to happen. I don't know what I am doing to get the GUI to change focus to the list of emails over the one being typed. It seems that this is where the focus should be on finding a solution. My touchpad is disabled, so it is definitely not that. I have also placed the mouse on another screen or on the email being typed, but it makes no difference.
I also disabled all hot keys (I am using Office.com or online version) but they all still work, so it seems that I cannot disable hot keys in the settings even though it is clearly an option.
Are you sure? Because when I tried that, nothing seemed to happen, just like E. But it seems possible that my finger touched e, together with other keys and archived messages (as the last few times I felt multiple keys being touched). But if it is e, it doesn’t always happen. Outlook’s support doesn’t really help regarding this matter, as they want me to use the onscreen keyboard to resolve it. They also pay no attention to my report that it is e and not E. They only go by their documents. They don’t seem to try to reproduce my problem. I have suggested to them to change it if it is causing this. I will try to reproduce it, and let them know if it happens. If it does, I will record it and ask them to change the setting so it is two keys and not e. It does not make sense for one letter to function while typing, since we need it.
I don't know if some of the older messages prior to the prompt were simply selected, but I don't think so. I know that more recently while I was typing messages, they were archived and I was prompted to undo the action. I do believe that something like this happened in the past and I had to start typing at least one message over prior to prompts being implemented. So I am not sure how it happened, and I am trying to figure out how it happened. I know that the last few times, one of my fingers slipped to part of the keyboard while typing an e-mail, and I felt many keys at once, and then messages disappeared, and I got prompted to undo an archived message. In the past, I didn't get a prompt when that happened. I do not think that all of them were messages that I was typing as some were sent messages. But I know that some of them were, so I would like to find out if somebody can tell me how that has happened. I think that probably others so far only know about selected messages, and not those that get archived while I am typing them. Perhaps it is a bug, or there is a shortcut that is meant for replies, but I don't know. I think that it has happened when I was typing new e-mails too.
I don't know why that doesn't work on my laptop, but it doesn't. Keyboard shortcuts are not off. So, I am no sure if that is supposed to work while typing, or when selecting a message. I tried it while typing (which is how messages usually get archived in my case), and nothing happened.
