What shortcut might archive messages on outlook.live.com?

I would just like to add to the chorus of individuals experiencing this most frustrating bug. I use Firefox to view the Outlook 365 web application - on a Mac. The issue is quite inconsistent - but when it happens, often happens 2-3 times in a row as I'm trying to compose ONE email. "e" definitely seems to be the culprit, as others have said, as "e" works consistently to archive messages when in the message list view. The "fast typing" theory is an interesting one, thanks to those of you put 2 and 2 together on that one.

What I would love Microsoft to do is remove these inane shortcuts that are ONE letter. I've never heard of such a thing before.

I just found out the when we press d+e at the same time it will archived the mail...

while d+e actually the main letter for opening an reply ( dear ....)

probably the next questions is, does outlook have way to delete this shortcut or change it....

I have this same problem and it is driving me crazy! I found this chain by googling "typing keystroke in outlook sends message to archive bug"

I have used Outlook for years, but now when I am typing an email, I will feel my fingers perhaps slip, maybe I hit two keys at once. Instantly, I am thrown out of the email I'm typing, and there is a message saying another email has gone to archive. I can click "undo" to get the email out of archive, then I have to reopen my draft email and continue typing. Sometimes this happens multiple times in an email, it is so annoying! Sometimes I get kicked out without an email getting sent to archive. I don't know what keystroke is causing it.

I have just tried to disable keyboard shortcuts and am hoping that will help. Advice appreciated, thanks.

The fact is, I never actually use an app, but the outlook.live.com website. I don't have shortcuts disabled. When I was addressing this with the support team, I typed E multiple times in reply e-mails, which was not in caps lock, but shift e. I found that in my case, e-mails were disappearing seemingly when I possibly was typing the key of e with keys that were next to it with the same finger on accident. If I did accidentally press he shift key with my pinky finger, I am not aware of it. But it would be strange that pressing shift e multiple times to reproduce the issue when writing the e-mails to the support person did not make messages archived. Another thing, that is not a good shortcut. Imagine if somebody's name is Emily, Elisabeth, Edward, etc, or a street starts with capital e, or you need to explain something is East in an e-mail. This could be problematic, if capital e will archive an e-mail. One of the earlier respondents said that it only works when selecting e-mails, but you are saying it seems to work while typing an e-mail. For me, it doesn't seem to work. Are you using outlook.live.com, or the 365 application? Because it doesn't seem to match up that it is happening to you, but not other people. Also, their support team doesn't really help with this issue, as for me, they told me to turn off the shortcuts, use the onscreen keyboard, or attach a separate keyboard, saying that these help disabled people. I am not physically disabled, but i had accidentally touched other keys a few times, so i kind of found this a little irritating that they said this. I think that nobody who is good at typing, or knows how to type would like this suggestion. I don't want to peck on keys, or be told to use some sort of external keyboard, when mine works fine.
