The Outlook mobile app is extremely SLOW! Everything about it! Typing an email is SLOW. Scrolling through my inbox is SLOW. Using the calendar is SLOW. Going into the settings menu is SLOW. Searching is SLOW. Even typing a letter or hitting the backspace key is SLOW!
I'm using an iPhone XS running the latest iOS (13.3.1) and latest version of the Outlook app (4.30.0). I’ve tried everything...uninstalling and reinstalling the app, rebooting the phone, hard and soft reset. I have deleted old emails to clear out my inbox...no help. This is the only app I have problems with out of about 50 apps on my phone. The phone has plenty of CPU and memory available. On my desktop PC, the Outlook with Office 365 account works perfectly fine with no performance issues. Webmail also works fine.
I opened a support case through the mobile app and was told by Microsoft they're aware of the issue and are working on a fix. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS!!! COME ON MICROSOFT, GET IT TOGETHER!!!

Same painfully slow experience when using iOS and Safari, Brave or Firefox browsers to use the outlook.live.com web interface. It sure seems like Apple is doing something intentional to sour users of their competition.
I’m been having exactly same issue. It started about 2 or three weeks ago, and seems to get increasingly worse. I dovt have issues with calendar, though. It’s email. When I click on outlook, oftentimes it just freezes, as if it’s taking forever to respond.. once I see the message headers, I’m able to click and read them. But it takes a very long time to see the messages. When I launch the individual email apps ( hotmail, yahoo, etc), there are no problems. It seems to be sone serious latency issue where outlook is syncing with each email server
Outlook mobile is brutal. It loses emails, won't ever sync properly...I've been on it for many years and Microsoft refuses to invest in their software for some strange reason.
I have removed my outlook email account like 4X and it has not helped at all.
Same issue . Outlook on iPhone takes like 20 seconds to load. When I click a link from an email, it takes 10 seconds to get back into outlook email.
Is this being done on purpose to make me want a new iPhone? Cuz it’s making me consider an Android where I never would have before…
