Outlook app on iPhone is SOOOOO SLOOOOOWWWWWW!!!

The Outlook mobile app is extremely SLOW! Everything about it! Typing an email is SLOW. Scrolling through my inbox is SLOW. Using the calendar is SLOW. Going into the settings menu is SLOW. Searching is SLOW. Even typing a letter or hitting the backspace key is SLOW!

I'm using an iPhone XS running the latest iOS (13.3.1) and latest version of the Outlook app (4.30.0). I’ve tried everything...uninstalling and reinstalling the app, rebooting the phone, hard and soft reset.  I have deleted old emails to clear out my inbox...no help. This is the only app I have problems with out of about 50 apps on my phone. The phone has plenty of CPU and memory available. On my desktop PC, the Outlook with Office 365 account works perfectly fine with no performance issues. Webmail also works fine.

I opened a support case through the mobile app and was told by Microsoft they're aware of the issue and are working on a fix. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS!!! COME ON MICROSOFT, GET IT TOGETHER!!!

Crickets from Microsoft. I'd recommend working through your IT department. They will have more pull with Microsoft than us end users have.

Have you tried disabling any shared calendars through the app? I have noticed significant improvements by doing so. Here's how I did it: Click on the calendar button (bottom right). Click on your profile/picture (top left). Delete the shared calendars. I had 15 shared calendars. Now, if I need to access shared calendars from my mobile, I use webmail, but typically I perform such functions from my desktop PC so it hasn't been a huge inconvenience.

The app appears to be designed to be slow. Functions like archiving or deleting an email have delays built in. Perhaps their user base are slow and not power users. @Microsoft, can you please make this a setting so that basic functions can be done faster like the default IOS mail app?

My Issue is unrelated to clicking on the calendar. Whenever I activate the application it just is very slow in opening.

***UPDATE*** I think I may have found the culprit. I removed all of my shared calendars from the Outlook mobile app and it has been performing MUCH better. Previously when ever I would click on the calendar it would display “updating”. Removing the shared calendars from the mobile app did not cause them to be removed from my web mail or desktop Outlook 365 profile, thankfully.

Just re installed from corporate App Store. Seems very quick and faultless so far. Hopefully will continue. Thanks for tip.
