The Outlook mobile app is extremely SLOW! Everything about it! Typing an email is SLOW. Scrolling through my inbox is SLOW. Using the calendar is SLOW. Going into the settings menu is SLOW. Searching is SLOW. Even typing a letter or hitting the backspace key is SLOW!
I'm using an iPhone XS running the latest iOS (13.3.1) and latest version of the Outlook app (4.30.0). I’ve tried everything...uninstalling and reinstalling the app, rebooting the phone, hard and soft reset. I have deleted old emails to clear out my inbox...no help. This is the only app I have problems with out of about 50 apps on my phone. The phone has plenty of CPU and memory available. On my desktop PC, the Outlook with Office 365 account works perfectly fine with no performance issues. Webmail also works fine.
I opened a support case through the mobile app and was told by Microsoft they're aware of the issue and are working on a fix. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS!!! COME ON MICROSOFT, GET IT TOGETHER!!!

I have the same problem i Calendar.
I have just been testing it using .outlook.com mail address and has worked perfectly.
Just added my hosted business mail account and guess what - takes for ever to update if at all so have deleted. Well I am trying to but but looks like will have to delete the outlook app to get rid!!
I just use hosted mail address on iphone 7 mail app and everything works perfectly. I will give up trying to use the Outlook 365 mail app.
Well good luck mate. I hope that for you, miraculously, it solves the problem. Certainly didn't for me. I uninstalled and reinstalled at least 6 times and every time the same problem recurred. I have now moved to the App Edison Email, which looks and functions pretty much exactly like Outlook except that it WORKS! I recommend it if you experience the same recurring issues.
Outlook completely locked up so deleted and reinstalled. Seems to work fine now.
So no idea why had the problem. But will see how i get on with latest download.
