The Outlook mobile app is extremely SLOW! Everything about it! Typing an email is SLOW. Scrolling through my inbox is SLOW. Using the calendar is SLOW. Going into the settings menu is SLOW. Searching is SLOW. Even typing a letter or hitting the backspace key is SLOW!
I'm using an iPhone XS running the latest iOS (13.3.1) and latest version of the Outlook app (4.30.0). I’ve tried everything...uninstalling and reinstalling the app, rebooting the phone, hard and soft reset. I have deleted old emails to clear out my inbox...no help. This is the only app I have problems with out of about 50 apps on my phone. The phone has plenty of CPU and memory available. On my desktop PC, the Outlook with Office 365 account works perfectly fine with no performance issues. Webmail also works fine.
I opened a support case through the mobile app and was told by Microsoft they're aware of the issue and are working on a fix. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS!!! COME ON MICROSOFT, GET IT TOGETHER!!!

Yep, I did the same thing.
Removed Outlook from my phone and use Apple app.
Microsoft doesn't seem to care about supporting their app.
I have a similar issue. Takes for ever to download new
emails. The whole app locks while this is happening so cant do anything while waiting for new email to download.
Solution is just set emails up through the ios mail app. No issues and has a better layout when you open. All folders immediatey available and on view.
A colleague of mine, with an iPhone, and myself, on Android, are both commiserating about this same problem: Outlook app is practically useless at this point. We have reset, re-installed, sacrificed chickens ... all to no avail. It seems absolutely astounding the Microsoft would allow this to go on so long.

I am having the same problem. I’m glad to know I’m not alone. Specifically, the outlook app is failing to sync email. I haven’t dug into it enough to know if that’s the only thing, but that’s a pretty crippling blow all by itself.
