Hotmail account repeatedly locked

On Sat Jan 8, 2022, my outlook/hotmail account was temporarily locked due to "unusual activity". I requested a verification code, and my account was unlocked. I changed my password. I logged in OK the next day. I can receive emails, but as soon as I send an email, my account is locked again. What can I do?

    Without any explanation my email seems to be working again.

    I had it come back for brief periods a while back so time will tell.

    No apology or explanation from outlook as you’d expect
