Hotmail account repeatedly locked

On Sat Jan 8, 2022, my outlook/hotmail account was temporarily locked due to "unusual activity". I requested a verification code, and my account was unlocked. I changed my password. I logged in OK the next day. I can receive emails, but as soon as I send an email, my account is locked again. What can I do?

    Would love to say this worked but I get "Unable to load these settings, please try again later"

    I've taken to twitter @Outlook to try and get a response from someone as we don't seem to be getting any response on here.

    I've tried clearing out folders which didn't work and now cant seem to get into forwarding options. WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!

    MS - Please respond with something please.

    Struggling to speak on this page too as need to be logged in!!

    Hi everyone,

    I've been having the same issue since Jan 16.

    As a temporary work around solution, I setup email forwarding from my hotmail account to my gmail account. This way, I can still get all my Hotmail emails and can reply to urgent emails through gmail instead of hotmail. You will still need to find a way (i.e. another cell #) to unblock/unlock your account first if it's still currently blocked so that you can go into the account settings.

    Hope this work around helps many of you for now until MS gets its s*** together.

    That is exactly the same as mine. I am not getting locked out all the time now, but cannot send anything
