Hotmail account repeatedly locked

On Sat Jan 8, 2022, my outlook/hotmail account was temporarily locked due to "unusual activity". I requested a verification code, and my account was unlocked. I changed my password. I logged in OK the next day. I can receive emails, but as soon as I send an email, my account is locked again. What can I do?

    Same problems!!!!!!

    repeatedly locked. I can receive emails, but as soon as I send an email, my account is locked again.

    Online help chat from MS is impossible to find, very frustrating!!!!

    Hi, my partner’s account is locked but despite sending a security code and changing the password, she still can’t sign in. How long do Microsoft take to unlock accounts? We can’t get into the account to try and clean up the folders.

    Many thanks for the info on how to forward emails. I have been locked out of my outlook account for about 2 weeks and got absolutely no help from the chat lines.
