My google pixel 2 phone recently updated the outlook app. Now the app crashes on startup. I tried clearing the cache and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Ive removed my work account as well. Still will not work. I get as far as the adding account page then it crashes and ask to send a report.

I had this problem. Fortunately I had noticed a spam email in my inbox just before the crash.

I uninstalled Outlook then logged into my Outlook account online and deleted the (clearly problematic) email.

Re-installed Outlook and all was well.

Don't know if this helps but it's worth a shot?

I think the issue may be because the size of data file for outlook on the phone is grater than 1GB (it doesn't matter if your phone has a much larger free space) .

Cleaning my email using a computer I believe fixed the problem and the Outlook app for Android is no longer crashing.

Having the same problem..  Handset is Galaxy S9 plus, I use my office 365 account configured through intune,  and also a couple of personal accounts....ample storage left and issue started 3 days ago (wondering if it's the latest outlook update). No antivirus apps or other changes in recent past.

Outlook opens and even if left on it's own, the app closes / crashes after a few seconds.

Tried using fast fingers to get to contact support, but then the screen blanks out and returns to outlook home screen. Left on it's own, closed in couple of seconds. When I try opening support, it goes through the same cycle.. blank screen first and back to outlook home screen, then crash...

    HELP !!!!!
