Using Outlook for Android for personal email and calendar management
I am getting the same issue with a Hotmail and work office 365 account attached to the app. I have tried removing the cache and uninstalled and it's still occurring?

My google pixel 2 phone recently updated the outlook app. Now the app crashes on startup. I tried clearing the cache and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Ive removed my work account as well. Still will not work. I get as far as the adding account page then it crashes and ask to send a report.

The only thing that helped me with this problem was to remove the Outlook from my Samsung S8 phone and re-install the app. This means you need will need to setup your e-mail accounts again. Ince that was completed, i was back up and running again. BTW, this is the second time I had to do this.

Gmail doesn't have this "feature" because there software engineers know how to white code and don't steal it from git hub and whack a new skin on its and fill it with adverts and metrics :D
I fixed it by editing permissions of the app with Android Debug Bridge (adb)
Microsoft lobotomy was only cure now it functions with out loading those pesky adds
Yes the spying and ads from software and apps are destroying everything its a constant battle trying to get round the constant tricks and hidden settings etc to stop the dodgy background behaviour on your devices and sites you visit not counting the battery and data usage etc from apps you not using but are watching you
