My google pixel 2 phone recently updated the outlook app. Now the app crashes on startup. I tried clearing the cache and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Ive removed my work account as well. Still will not work. I get as far as the adding account page then it crashes and ask to send a report.

    Hi Kenneth,

May I know have you installed any anti-spam apps on your mobile? If so, please temporarily close it and then see if it can help for you.

Moreover, please update the version of your Android OS and then reinstall the Outlook for Android to see if the issue disappears.

If the issue persists, I’d like to collect some more information for the further investigation:

    1.       When the app crashed, did you receive any error messages? If so, please take a screenshot about it to me.

    2.       What types account you are using in the Outlook for Android? Office 365 account or some other types accounts?

    Regards,

    Oliver

I think I have the same problem.  Since updating my Samsung S8 to Pie a few days ago, whenever I open Outlook, it will just close out without any error message.  Have tried reinstalling, deleting browsers cache and reinstalling, wipe cache partition on phone....

Hi Denis Pang and Kenneth Cherisol,

Thanks for your posting here, if you tried these steps but issue persists, you may check if you have the sufficient storage space, please free up more space on your Android device and see the outcome.

In addition, please make sure you have the fast and stable internet connection. You may switch off your Mobile Data and connect the stable WiFi router and see if it make difference.

    Regards,

    Bryan
