My google pixel 2 phone recently updated the outlook app. Now the app crashes on startup. I tried clearing the cache and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Ive removed my work account as well. Still will not work. I get as far as the adding account page then it crashes and ask to send a report.

I tried 4.1.23, same error. I'm going to have to go way back I think... or!
Just don't use the stupid app.
I've got GMail, I'm done with the Microsoft stupidity.
When GMail goes down the dark path... who'll save us then?
Hi Kenneth,
May I know have you installed any anti-spam apps on your mobile? If so, please temporarily close it and then see if it can help for you.
Moreover, please update the version of your Android OS and then reinstall the Outlook for Android to see if the issue disappears.
If the issue persists, I’d like to collect some more information for the further investigation:
1. When the app crashed, did you receive any error messages? If so, please take a screenshot about it to me.
2. What types account you are using in the Outlook for Android? Office 365 account or some other types accounts?
Regards,
Oliver
I tried the latest update on the 21/02 on my phone and Outlook crashed again. I uninstalled it and installed ver 4.1.23 and this version works. So I disabled auto update to keep this version till MS has an update that works.
According to my "app info" the latest version is 4.1.27.
I just downloaded it from the app store and immediately checked the "updates" tab, and it was listed - so I did the update as well.
But mine still crashes...
