I had exactly the same response from Microsoft and reported this to talktalk, who is my email provider, not my ISP and still waiting for them to update their server.

In the meantime I am using Edison Mail.

    End user here:

This appears to be confirmed as my company is running the same setup Exchange-2007 w/ android & iOS devices. According to MS in-app support the app technically does support exchange 2007 but according to the subsequent threads on this topic Ex-2007 only runs TLS-1.0. Per the most recent response from MS, the outlook app has cutoff TLS-1.0 and now only supports TLS-1.2... so there appears to be a major discrepancy in what the app is purportedly saying it supports vs. what it is technically able to. Per the other threads i am switching to blue mail in hopes that it will solve the issue as my imail is garbage. MS needs to respond and clarify this as apparently outlook-365 doesnt even support TLS-1.2....

I think I'll take a look at BlueMail.

Have been very, very, VERY disappointed with the monolithic mass of bugs loosely held together by occasional bits of working code which sums up the pitiful excuse for an app which Microsoft calls Outlook for Android.

They ruined it on Windows Mobile 10 (which I ditched recently for Android - best decision ever) and then found just how garbage the Android version is. Can't even control its sync settings.

TalkTalk and Microsoft - what a team. Aka "Laurel & Hardy" or "The Goon Squad".

    Utter joke.... both of them...

A chat with support on the Outlook App for Android(yes if you click support they do respond) but they are TOTALL useless.  Claim that it is a certificate problem on our end.  Mail on Windows 10 and on my tablet work just fine and have only complain about the certificate one time when you first authenticate but when you say yes to do you want to connect anyway it works just fine.

Microsoft needs to fix these problems ASAP or they will lose a whole lot of users.  Do you think its all in attempt to get people to move to the Outlook cloud?  That would be diabolical.

As an end user, you have no control over the server side.  As an engineer/architect, I have total control over my environment that I host for my end users.

This is a mistake on microsofts end for not giving a heads up to the public when they would discontinue support for tls 1.0 and 1.1 on the app to allow hosts to prepare

Can someone tell me if an update to the Outlook app removed support for TLS 1.0?  Exchange Server 2007 is only capable of TLS 1.0 and doesn't support TLS 1.1 or TLS 1.2.  Exchange Server 2010 reportedly will support TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 if Update Rollup 9 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3 is installed.  Has Microsoft dropped support for TLS 1.0 in the new versions of the Outlook app?
