I've been having the same problem. I've been using the support feature in the app haven't been any help yet. I'm the admin of my org and none of the settings have changed for my login. Previously when used this app and added an account it would ask me if I wanted to stay logged in. I've deleted everything, cleared cache and app data, uninstalled everything, and I've never seen that option again when I add my account again. When ever I login I see a bunch of screens pop-up and they disappear and I have no idea what it's doing.

Yes, I registered my phone in the Microsoft Authenticator app for android and that has seemed to fix it.

Labour, This specific issue as OP describes it in the post and subject of this thread is

The subject line of this thread and the description in the OP don't mention Authenticator. It's actually moot though since the sign in issues and sign in process are shared by all Microsoft apps on the Android device/work profile if applicable.
The presence of authenticator on Android OS/Work Profile will always refer sign in to that app if installed though even if the account is not MFA protected.
The larger issue of Microsoft apps prompting for sign in despite no condition existing prompting for sign in is what really needs to be resolved. (no password change, risky login, intune timeout, switch from MFA to non-MFA, etc.) . Outlook and Authenticator prompting for sign in is just a symptom of what appears to be an inability for the Microsoft apps on Android to properly maintain the login session to wherever it is set to authenticate against. (Microsoft account, ADFS, other SAML, etc) . There are replies in this thread from people of all walks experiencing the same thing. (Enterprise customers using ADFS, Azure AD, Hotmail (microsoft account), other SAML.)
Just got a new phone yesterday and the issue is still happening. stops when i register the device
I had to adjust MS Authenticator settings and Turn OFF battery optimization. There must be a flaw in how it optimizes battery usage.
