Split from this thread.

I've been having the same problem. I've been using the support feature in the app haven't been any help yet. I'm the admin of my org and none of the settings have changed for my login. Previously when used this app and added an account it would ask me if I wanted to stay logged in. I've deleted everything, cleared cache and app data, uninstalled everything, and I've never seen that option again when I add my account again. When ever I login I see a bunch of screens pop-up and they disappear and I have no idea what it's doing.

Yes, I registered my phone in the Microsoft Authenticator app for android and that has seemed to fix it.

This specific issue is caused by Authenticator on the device. The issues you're describing as of yesterday may be similar, but are separate issues.

This is making an assumption authenticator is even on the device.... this is happening in our tenant and we don’t deploy authenticator or require MFA.  Issue is deeper here.

I can't check from my phone since I'm on the Beta, but when I open Google Play Store in an incognito tab it's showing an update from Sept 5th.

So it might take a little while to roll out to you through the official channel unless you want to grab the APK from a third party.

On the whole though once this new version rolls out for everyone I think the issue will be remediated.
