I've been having the same problem. I've been using the support feature in the app haven't been any help yet. I'm the admin of my org and none of the settings have changed for my login. Previously when used this app and added an account it would ask me if I wanted to stay logged in. I've deleted everything, cleared cache and app data, uninstalled everything, and I've never seen that option again when I add my account again. When ever I login I see a bunch of screens pop-up and they disappear and I have no idea what it's doing.

Premier support informed us the issue is known and there is a Microsoft Authenticator Beta you can sign up for through the Google Play Store. So far the Beta Authenticator 6.6.1 seems to fix the issue for me. I've been running it all morning and signing into my different apps and I have not experienced the issue at the expected intervals.
Thanks to labourgeoisie for figuring out a few workarounds until microsoft fixes it
Think I finally have a support rep in the Outlook app that is taking this issue more seriously instead of the normal clear cache/reinstall steps. He is going to escalate to higher level support. Hopefully, at least the Outlook team, will engage the Authenticator app team internally and get to the bottom of the issue.
