iCloud set up error in Outlook

I've been successfully using iCloud in Outlook 2010 for a couple years.  Yesterday had an sync issue (conflict error which I had never seen before) and I was unable to add any calendar items to my iCals in outlook. I uninstalled and reinstalled iCloud.  This usually has worked in the past.  I ensured the add-in is active, and tried to re-install iCoud (from new download) and now I get an error.  "Your setup couldn't be started because the iCloud server stopped responding".  I called Apple and have done everything they would have suggested.  I am on-line with good internet connection.  I just cannot establish an iCloud connection.  Any suggestions?

I just completed some testing..  I had Outlook Open and running on my PC.  I than accessed iCloud from MS Edge and opened Email from within iCloud on Edge.  I still wasn't able to sync or connect any of my preexisting "CREATED" folders (my default system iCloud folders are working fine).  Than I created some NEW folders and populated them.  WOW, everything started working and the "NEW" folders were syncing with Outlook.  UNTIL, I signed out and closed iCloud in Edge!!!!  Than mysteriously, ALL of the folders (Both populated and non populated) just disappeared from Outlook like they never existed!!!!  I returned to iCloud on Edge and Back to Square One...  So much for that work around....

    Good Morning All,

So the issue appears to be with Apple (from all of the reviews I've read here and elsewhere).  I am now able to turn ON the Outlook Tab within the iCloud settings; however, I am still having issues with my iCloud Email within Outlook.  All of my created "Folders and Sub-Folders" are NOT appearing within Outlook (nor syncing).  When I create one, the folder will appear, populate and than several seconds later it will erase itself as if it never existed (doesn't appear in the Deleted Items folder).  I have deleted the iCloud Email account, Rebooted the PC, Closed Outlook, Signed out of iCloud on my PC and resigned in ALL to no avail.  So, it appears, at least on my end, there are still problems on Apple's end.

Is anyone else seeing this problem with their iCloud Email within Outlook?  Anyone figured out a work around?

Thanks and have a great Sunday!

    Hi Princess,

I had the same issue and found the answer elsewhere.

You shouldn't opt for syncing ALL calendars, but instead choose SOME.

In the next popup, deselect all choices (probably 'agenda' or 'calendar' is selected). After this, everything should update and sync smoothly.

    Regards,

    Sergionenl

    Hello,

Thank you for those instructions.........I did find those instructions on the net but when I tried them I don't get any iCloud option to select.  I am additionally not able to get my iCloud calendar to show up.  I have a ton of diff Gmail accounts that I have in a separate profile that used to work perfectly for the iCloud calendar - it used to sync with my iPhone & iPad perfectly for both the "default Outlook profile" and the one that I created for "All Inboxes" and for my profile that only loads certain individual accounts but now even the original two profiles (default and all inboxes) are no longer working.  Additionally I started getting this error message when I tried to run the iCloud CP setup option for the Outlook integration:

    icloud outlook setup error 0x80004002

This leads me to believe that Apple's iCloud servers might be on the fritz again.  I also did a remote session with a MS tech and he even went to his 2nd level and we decided that I should wait to hear back from Apple's 2nd level tech, so that is what I am going to do....It is 2:45 AM here in NJ in the USA and I am calling it a night......Good thing I am a night owl!

    Sincerely,

    Princess Wonder Woman
