Turn Off Advanced Threat Protection in Outlook.com

First, I have an @msn.com email address. This is not an Office 365 business email address!

All the links in my email prefaced with the https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com.  Looking this up is part of the Exchange advanced threat protection package which they talk about in Office 365 for business.  How do I turn this off for my personal @msn.com email account.  It is actually causing more problems for me than it "protects" me so I need to turn this off.  How do I turn this off?  Again, this is happening on a personal account, not a business account.

    I really wish microsuck would stop screwing around.

    Now i cant attach a file to an email and send it.

    It puts a link up so the actual file is downloaded into a browser.  I am not a young tech savy kid who wants to learn new things all the time.  I have searched on google how to turn it off. gone into settings - attachements - and clicked off the preferences, but it doesnt seem to respond to this.  My attachments still come thru as a link from onedrive.  I dont want that.

    Excerpt of my correspondence with the Support:

    I understand that „safe links“ thing was suddenly re-enabled for each of my aliases. Please explain: why did that happen, how did that happen, when will it happen again!?

    Back in December, we had to learn that „safe links“ have to be disabled per alias, rather than per account respectively mailbox. We went all through that, „safe links“ actually were disabled for my primary, as well as for the concerning secondary ...@live.de alias. Please find attached the full correspondence from back in December.

    Again, please explain: why did that happen, how did that happen, when will it happen again!?

    Further, please permit to ask, what came over Microsoft to release such half-baked thing to the public without opt-in!?

    They turned it back on again! What the ...!?!? I'll have to go through this for the third time now! 💣

    Finally, at least they give us option to opt-out that thing. From Outlook.com support:

    I am sorry for the inconvenience caused as the option to disable the feature was valid for a period of six months as informed by the engineering team. However the team has made some changes and I would like to inform you that the option to disable safe links has now been provided to the users.

    Please follow the steps listed below:

    1. Log into https://outlook.live.com/mail/inbox
    2. Settings(top right, cog icon) -> View All Outlook settings
    3. Under the section Premium , click on Security
    4. Below Advanced security, you would find a toggle button to Enable \ Disable ATP safe links.

    This is causing major problems with sharing links on our website.  Customers aren't able to open the button or banner links because of this.

    There needs to be an easier way to turn this off.
