Turn Off Advanced Threat Protection in Outlook.com

First, I have an @msn.com email address. This is not an Office 365 business email address!

All the links in my email prefaced with the https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com.  Looking this up is part of the Exchange advanced threat protection package which they talk about in Office 365 for business.  How do I turn this off for my personal @msn.com email account.  It is actually causing more problems for me than it "protects" me so I need to turn this off.  How do I turn this off?  Again, this is happening on a personal account, not a business account.

    Hi Anna,

    I have tried exactly this, but there seems to be a problem with your systems. When I type my question and choose get help, I simply get the message 'The message wasn't sent. Try again'.

    When I click try again, no difference.

    Could you look into this for me, or tell me an alternative method of getting help? It has been like this for over a week now, so does not seem to be a temporary glitch.

    Hi m@rk,

    The safe links could have enabled again due to some changes with Outlook.com like updates. If you want this feature to be disabled again, please follow the steps below:

    1. In Outlook.com, choose Help (?). The Help pane opens.
    2. Near the bottom of the Help pane, choose Help. A Contact Support box opens.
    3. In the support box, type your question or request about Safe Links, and then choose Get help.

    Excerpt of my correspondence with the Support:

    I understand that „safe links“ thing was suddenly re-enabled for each of my aliases. Please explain: why did that happen, how did that happen, when will it happen again!?

    Back in December, we had to learn that „safe links“ have to be disabled per alias, rather than per account respectively mailbox. We went all through that, „safe links“ actually were disabled for my primary, as well as for the concerning secondary ...@live.de alias. Please find attached the full correspondence from back in December.

    Again, please explain: why did that happen, how did that happen, when will it happen again!?

    Further, please permit to ask, what came over Microsoft to release such half-baked thing to the public without opt-in!?

    Was that directed for me? It just says email not sent when i try it. has done so since yesterday, I suspect it's a temporary systems issue.
