Using older versions of Outlook for Mac for personal email and calendar
Good evening
Having updated to the 11th July release, I have been stable for three hours. Anybody else in the same camp or is it just luck?

Running Outlook on the iMac causes the screen to flicker and eventually black out and reduce to half/split screen display.
If I don't run the Outlook app the Mac runs like clockwork.
With Outlook active, at some point the flickering begins and then gets progressively worse until the screen is completed fuzzed or it pops back to a half black screen (which continues to flicker intermittently - more often than not)
Whilst it sounds like a hardware issue (and I've ordered a new Mac thinking it was!) it appears to be tied to Outlook.
iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)
3.3 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M395 2048 MB
Mac OS 10.14.1 (18B75)
Outlook 16.19
Rebooting seems to clear it until we run Outlook again, then the cycle continues.

Guys, the support gave me 2 complain channels and please send your problem there. May be it will work.
If the issue still exists after uninstalling office and reinstall office in a new identity, it’s more possible to be product problem, I suggest you contact Outlook for Mac in-app support channel via Help > Contact Support, you can also try the two channels below:
Shame that we can’t see those email addresses!
So I selected to contact MS. The “smart” assistant, when I typed in, “Outlook causing flickering on late 2015 iMac,” thought I was first asking about Windows 10 (haha). It then found this same thread and asked me if it fixed my problem? (Of course not!) So now I’m going through the steps to create an account to talk to a real person, but it won’t let me use my work email address that I use to sign onto this forum. It suggested using a Gmail or Yahoo email address… Huh? So instead, I’m using my work phone number, which MS is not sending me a code to verify my phone number as it says it has… (sigh)
I have requested Microsoft to escalate this problem to higher level engineer. They request me to tell them what I have done to solve this problem. Of course, I told him what I have done and also quoted that some similar case has replaced the panel but no sucesss.
As a result, I think we should bombard Microsoft with more voice so that they will focus on our case.
Here is my contact in Microsoft of all the related engineers. Please send them an email and say "Me too" and explain your problem. I think we can give some pressure to Microsoft.

I hope this can help everyone!
Same issue - mine flickers then turns white - then flickers some more...only when Outlook is open. Otherwise my iMac is flawless. I keep all everything updated.
This is a Microsoft issue. Know I have to get rid of outlook and use something else but was hoping to read that Microsoft is working on this issue. It is not an Apple issue and calls to replace an iMac with a new machine to solve a microsoft problem strikes me as absurd.
I think we now have to concede that given that the issue only affects late 2015 iMacs , Microsoft will not fix this issue for the relatively few of
us .
This can be seen by all the posts on this which somehow ,somewhere Microsoft has seen and is aware of yet there is no response from them .
At least tell us - "we are not going to resolve this problem for you ".
We then know what to do or not to do .
Think we all now have to move on with our own solutions be it a new Mac , Apple Mail ,Resolution downgrade ,or upgrade if this solves the issue as someone has posted or something by chance happens when iOS Catalina is released .
