Configuring preferences and options in Outlook.com
I'm using the same version of Chrome on my PC as i did a week or so ago, when I had the old Hotmail - before you switched me to Outlook. Outlook is slower.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
A few days ago my Hotmail e-mail account suddenly switch to the "Outlook" mail & layout (where the little blue line fills in across the screen under the "Outlook" icon....) I hate it! Why did it change & HOW CAN I SWITCH BACK TO THE OLD HOTMAIL FORMAT I WAS COMFORTABLE WITH ALL THESE YEARS???

Thanks. Yes, I clear the cache & cookies regularly. I prefer Chrome over IE.
What I (we?) REALLY want is the old interface back ...
Hello,
Thank you for your response.
As previously informed, Once the account is upgraded there is no way it can go back to older interface.
Please post to us if you have any further queries to help you better.
Yes....agreed. The old interface was not broke....so WHY try to fix it?
MICROSOFT: Why NOT allow an option for users to keep the old layout if they want to? If the new version is so appealing & superior, surely most users will stick with it, so what's the harm in offering the option to those who prefer the older version???
Also, does anyone else notice that the new version is waaaay slower loading & opening?
Hello,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
As you have mentioned that the new interface is Slower loading and opening, How exactly are you accessing the account, is it through browser or through any other applications?
To get the most out of Outlook.com, we recommend that you use the latest version of your browser, otherwise some features might not work or display properly.

My "new" Outlook email showed up last evening without ANY warning. I now cannot access ANY of my older saved emails containing valuable information I wanted to keep. I resent paying money to MS for a product that they arbitrarily just "change" without notification.
I do NOT like Outlook and do NOT want it. Plus, I want my saved emails and all that the original email services I purchased!
Please help me get my saved emails back.
