How to switch back to old "Hotmail" interface layout? (Aug 2016)

A few days ago my Hotmail e-mail account suddenly switch to the "Outlook" mail & layout (where the little blue line fills in across the screen under the "Outlook" icon....) I hate it! Why did it change & HOW CAN I SWITCH BACK TO THE OLD HOTMAIL FORMAT I WAS COMFORTABLE WITH ALL THESE YEARS???

    Could not agree more, add in the unintuitive layout changes it's pretty clear this was not beta tested.

    I have found if you run a script blocker a couple of the forced app's (skype included) are impacting performance and blocking them "helps"

    I hate the outlook version.  Hotmail was a lot better.  I have used hotmail since 1995 when it was named for HTML mail: HoTMaiL.   This new version loads much, much slower.  I am using chrome or Opera.  The text is too small, the background is white.  Ergonomically, When my screen is mostly black its so relaxing for my eyes. Thats also why a lot of CAD software works with a black background and white lines. 

    Why you keep referring to internet explorer as the go to browser shows how out of touch you are.  IE sucks.  Coders should not even write for that monstrosity.  Why is this called outlook?  

    How can I switch to text only version?

    You would need to create a rule. Right click the email>create a rule........

    But where is in the new interface  the very useful function "From this sender... delete all from???"

    jeez...I just needed a NEW email account - to post something on kijiji. So, I opened a gmail account. Very easy, very nice, MUCH FASTER & neater that this outlook thingy ..yuk!.

    Goodbye hotmail/outlook/live whatever ...!!!
