DOWNLOADED ATTACHMENTS IN OUTLOOK ANDROID APP

I downloaded the latest version of Outlook app from play store on my android

I was able to download the attachments from my mail and I cold open it from the outlook app 

But i am not able to find the files that I have downloaded in my sdcard or in mu internal memory

please anyone, help me.......

Hi Jerrin,

I appreciate the response. I am really sorry the above suggestion's were not helpful in solving the problem.  I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the phone to check where the downloads are saved exactly.

I am experiencing he same issue, I have discovered that the files (in my case, a PDF file) is being saved to

\data\data\com.Microsoft.Outlook[remainder truncated], but it seems that folder is hidden or something, so I can't see the folder directly on the phone until I get around to investigating via my PC. I hope this kinda helps

The download process of Outlook for Android is not really downloading the file completely. As you can noticed that it's under the .tmp folder which stands for Temporary folder. This is to avoid eating up storage for your phone.

I have tried to replicate your issue and I found a workaround.

  1. Download the attachment from your email and open the file.
  2. Click the hamburger logo and select Save as. Then save it on your desired location on your SD Card.

That way it's not being deleted since it's not stored on the temporary folder.

    It has nothing to do with the phone manufacturer.

    I downloaded several pictures attached to an email. Normally they should appear in the Gallery (ex: attachments, downloads or whatever folder is created by outlook app.) but they do not show up. Same thing for other type of attachments. Most likely the folder is hidden so Android phone cannot see it or it's content.

    Please fix this otherwise app is useless.

    Windows 10, what? Could you ask someone else to answer this delicate question. Your answer is non-sense...

    I can understand your situation since i have gone through the same.

    try searching for the images in

    sdcard0/android/data/com.{somthing like 'outlook}/....search all folders in that folder

    you may be able to find it

    please reply if you could find the downloaded files

    Hi team,

    I have the same problem here, when i open an attachment jpg file, it pop up a viewer and do nothing. Then i browse into 'files', i can see all so called downloaded viewed attachment jpg files, however, when i click on them, just another pop up viewer for the particular jpg file, nothing is going on and no button for me to click and save this file to my phone. I guess Microsoft need to work on harder on this.
