Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy
Alas, this is the world we live in now. It's not just Microsoft. The trend now is to outsource and specialize and modularize and .....you get the idea. This applies to most customer service.
roshanlal,
I agree with you ... most companies offer very poor customer service.
I might be able to understand why a new start-up company would have to cut costs to stay competitive and thus might offer poor customer service.
But Microsoft has quarterly revenue of over $20 BILLION Dollars. They could easily afford to put more funding into significantly improving their customer service ... if they really cared about their customers.
Fixing this problem with auto-complete is trivial ... all Microsoft has to do is set the "autocomplete" attribute (in the sign on page) to "on". Not only do they refuse to fix this problem, but they also refuse to have the courtesy of explaining why they have disabled the auto-complete function.
I too have developed a work around (it is described in the same thread that you linked to). I wrote a user script that enables auto-complete each time I open the sign on page in my browser. Details can be found in the link you provided in your previous post.
