Log out of Outlook on Android

I have outlook for work on my Android. I do not wish to be on it at all times the constant notifications are an irritation. I found a post from 2013 saying that logging out on an android was not an option. Surely by now 3 years later this has been resolved.  I currently can not find the option to log out.

    I agree with much of what has been said on this thread - apart from Microsoft responses which are not answering the question. Why is there no facility for logging out? This seems to be deliberate and I suspect less than good motives for not creating this function. Not happy at all. As others have said, Microsoft needs to begin listening to its customers and, at the very least, explain WHY this function is not available!

    Nice to find an "update" in my hotmail inbox from the "Microsoft Community" claiming that "AlexaMorrison"'s OFF then ON of her PROBLEM then SOLUTION was a reply to my question.

    Reviewing my "question" posted in this thread, I couldn't find one.

    My interest was to find a solution to "log-out" of my hotmail mail account on my Android (mobile) phone as I'm able to do on my Win10 laptop computer.

    My concern is should for any untoward stroke of bad luck someone other than me takes possession of my Samsung Galaxy they would have direct access to my hotmail email account. They simply tap on its icon.

    Unless there's been any "improvements" to allow me to log out of hotmail on my mobile phone since my posting then the access vulnerability by another is still very much alive.

    AlexaMorrison is half right however with her solution to delete the app from the phone.  Of course she's not talking about HER phone!

    Again, thanks for these open forums to grease the digital universe.

    Ignore last response. You can click your account then you will see delete account and reset account on the outlook mobile app. Click delete account and it won’t delete your entire email like I and others thought. You will just delete it being on that particular mobile device. I found this out on my own. I still have my email and can log in on the computer and I am still logged in the mobile app on my actual phone not on the other phone now finally.

    Hello,

    It is 2020 can we please have a feature to log out of our email account if we added it on the app to another mobile device. They can literally see my emails. I just want to be able to logout. I lost my phone for a day and had to use someone elses phone and logged in. I would like to log out but all I see is delete account and reset account. Please fix this. I see this has been an issue for awhile. You got time please. Are we asking for too much because this is really frustrating that this does not exist.
