Hi There,

I was having the same issue with my connected gmail account but I managed to solve it.

1. Go to outlook.com
2. Go to settings on the top right hand corner.
3. Go to Accounts -> Connected Accounts
4. Click on Gmail address and click edit, you can then change your display name there.
