outlook.live.com Sent mails not saved in Sent items

Hi ...I have my 3rd party mail account configured to my outlook.live.com . The mails have been synced and so did the folders(including sent items) , however whenever i try to send mails from outlook.live.com ,using the account which i configured , the mails are sent without any issues but the mails are not saved in the sent items of my outlook.live.com.  I then checked the mail settings of my 3rd party provider and they do have the settings set properly for saving all the messages to sent items."Copy Email Messages to Sent Items When Sending Mail:" - is set to always. Appreciate any inputs to fix this problem.

Thanks

The way I see it, if you have a connected account configured to use POP (or IMAP, for that matter), then your outgoing mail isn't using Outlook.com's SMTP server to send the message. It's using the connected account's SMTP server, which means the Sent folder on that remote service should have a copy of the outgoing message. Your Outlook.com mailbox won't even see the outgoing message and, hence, won't have a copy in the Outlook.com Sent folder.

    Is this still going on?

many posters like this one have got it on the money.

    It it doesn't work!

simple. Connected accounts used to save sent messages and now they don't. Since upgraded outlook.

Why is it every micosoft person who has contributed to this conversation has given an ABSOLUTELY WRONG ANSWER. That's embarrassing Microsoft. Your own contributors don't know what they are talking. Telling us to go to settings that don't exist and to perform changes that do nothing.

Please twll me me this is getting fixed. I'm starting to lose track of all the sent messages I have sent. My brain can only remember so many things. Lol!

Juayvsay its its broken and u r in the process of fixing it.  I think that would satisfy a lot of people at this point.

My experience has been quite similar.  The people responding often do not know there is a outlook.com mail, and a "new and (not) improved outlook.live.com mail and are different.

The new one does not save sent mail and assumes that IMAP will save a copy in the sent mail of the proxied account.  Since it is not sent from that account, of course it is not save (at least not on earthlink).  I finally went and tricked the "connected account" into using earthlink the old way, as a POP3 account.  Everything works EXCEPT no matter how I try, it does not remove the mail it sweeps from earthlink inbasket into outlook (which was one reson I used the older outlook.com version as it did that nicely).  So, now I have to go to earthlink mail and delte them 20 at a time.  Useless being on outlook other than storing copies.
