outlook.live.com Sent mails not saved in Sent items

Hi ...I have my 3rd party mail account configured to my outlook.live.com . The mails have been synced and so did the folders(including sent items) , however whenever i try to send mails from outlook.live.com ,using the account which i configured , the mails are sent without any issues but the mails are not saved in the sent items of my outlook.live.com.  I then checked the mail settings of my 3rd party provider and they do have the settings set properly for saving all the messages to sent items."Copy Email Messages to Sent Items When Sending Mail:" - is set to always. Appreciate any inputs to fix this problem.

Thanks

The way I see it, if you have a connected account configured to use POP (or IMAP, for that matter), then your outgoing mail isn't using Outlook.com's SMTP server to send the message. It's using the connected account's SMTP server, which means the Sent folder on that remote service should have a copy of the outgoing message. Your Outlook.com mailbox won't even see the outgoing message and, hence, won't have a copy in the Outlook.com Sent folder.

Umm.  Log in to connected account to see emails in sent folder?

    thats a pretty useless answer

if that was the case then I would just use the connected account for everything and bypass outlook.com

wow. Can't believe this is still going on.

All the outlook MVP's on here have some pretty useless solutions :) (I know it's not your fault)

    > so, is there any way we will ever see sent items????

Log into the connected account mailbox directly. They should be in the Sent folder for that mailbox.

What it USED TO DO was save an email in the Outlook sent folder. It did not save on in the connected account, I assume it never used it.  Now, it DOES NOT save one in the Outlook, NOR the connected account sent items folder. That tells me despite comments that users believe are accurate that it uses the connected accounts server, that is obviously NOT happening.  Of note, if you (trick it and manually connect using pretend name "other") use POP3 mail, then Outlook still saves one in the "sent" folder in Outlook, on the Outlook server, not the connected account. However, in the latest great buggy version of Outlook, it DOES NOT remove the mail from the inbox when it retrieves mail from the connected account. It does not matter what setting(s) you try, it simply does not do it anymore (which is why I tried IMPAP in the first place). When I recover the wasted time trying all the possible configurations, I will close up Outlook after doing this all over again in GMAIL.
