Outlook Calendar Notifications all Show in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone

My wife shared her outlook.com calendar with me.  We both have our time zones set to Eastern Time on outlook.com.  However, whenever I get a notification that she added something to her calendar it shows in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone just in the notification.

For instance it says...

When: Wednesday, March 29, 2017 12:30 AM-1:00 AM. (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik

... when she makes an appointment at 8:30pm Eastern Time on 3/28.  Both the time shows correctly on both of our calendars.  Only the notification is wrong.  How do I fix that?

    This reply is a complete and utter joke.

    Multiple users have reported the exact same issue on multiple machines.

    Now MS is suggesting Office Configuration.  My wife and I both use web mail and neither of us use Outlook from Office.

    Now can I get another canned response from "support" stating they are looking into this issue?

We recommend downloading the Microsoft Office Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT) 2.2 as it provides a quick and easy way to analyze Microsoft Office programs for known configurations that cause problems.

    Thank you for this suggestion, and I am familiar with OffCAT. Typically, after OffCAT is run, there are a few Warnings in the Issues List. Can you tell me the specific Symptom notification for which I am looking that would cause notification emails from Microsoft (******@outlook.com) to display an incorrect time?

    Thank you for send us the warning message. We will look in to it to find the best solution regarding the issue. Meanwhile, we recommend following these steps to change the time zone and language setting in Outlook.com:

    1. In the upper-right corner, select Settings , then Options.
    2. Under Options, select General > Region and time zone.
    3. Under Region and time zones settings, select the language, date and time formats, and a different time zoneyou want to use in Outlook.
    4. Select Save.

    By doing this, we'll further isolate the issue by checking if changing your time zone to a different one will affect its current situation.

    Do update us with your notification status after performing these steps.
