Outlook Calendar Notifications all Show in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone

My wife shared her outlook.com calendar with me.  We both have our time zones set to Eastern Time on outlook.com.  However, whenever I get a notification that she added something to her calendar it shows in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone just in the notification.

For instance it says...

When: Wednesday, March 29, 2017 12:30 AM-1:00 AM. (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik

... when she makes an appointment at 8:30pm Eastern Time on 3/28.  Both the time shows correctly on both of our calendars.  Only the notification is wrong.  How do I fix that?

    In my case there was no fix (and I tried them ALL). I simply had to wait for Microsoft to get around to my account or region or whatever it was, and since the end of October they seemed to have sorted things out. Good luck.

    Anyone from MSN Outlook have a follow-up response yet?  As everyone else who posted, we have the same issue with the Monrovia, Reykjavik time zone.  I appreciate the sustained effort by the earlier folks who posted this issue.  The issue is annoying, but the Outlook support team inability to resolve this is VERY annoying.

    I have the exact same issue sir. I do not understand why nobody will help. I have been a user of Microsoft products for many, many years and use it exclusively for my scheduling. I get these strange Monrovia, Reykjavik time zone issues when I create a calendar event on my HP Elite X3 Phone, which uses Windows 10.

    At this point I'm pretty sure Microsoft knows about the issue. If you have another way of logging it or contacting them then it couldn't hurt but I wouldn't expect it to make much difference.
