Outlook Calendar Notifications all Show in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone

My wife shared her outlook.com calendar with me.  We both have our time zones set to Eastern Time on outlook.com.  However, whenever I get a notification that she added something to her calendar it shows in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone just in the notification.

For instance it says...

When: Wednesday, March 29, 2017 12:30 AM-1:00 AM. (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik

... when she makes an appointment at 8:30pm Eastern Time on 3/28.  Both the time shows correctly on both of our calendars.  Only the notification is wrong.  How do I fix that?

    I'm guessing that they're struggling with a lot of this stuff since they moved outlook.com to sort-of Office-365. For the longest time my account name was some random gibberish string. Probably lots more to fix and this is low on the priority list. Sad!

    Hi Sherry,

    I checked the Region and time zone setting and the Calendar Appearance setting on a different computer, different browser than I usually use, and in private browsing. I also check time zone settings on all of our computers and both phones. And, I checked the time zone settings in the desktop version of Outlook on all computers. All time zone settings are correct (UTC-08:00 Pacific Time). Added a test appointment on my wife's calendar and received the following calendar notification.

    Any other suggestions? Thank much for any help you can provide!

    FWIW after checking and/or changing every conceivable setting in every account on every device I gave up and kept using the shared calendar as is. Then out of the blue notifications started coming in with the correct (in my case EST) time zone. This lasted for a day or two then reverted back to UTC. Then the occasional notification would come in with EST while the majority were UTC. Now it's back to all UTC.

    I can verify this - I couldn't get to the thread before today to note it but this too happened to me, I even kept the email. It happened for me on 9/5 - all the calendar items added/updated that day came with the correct time zone (central for me), but the next day - it was back to Reykjavik  :( Hope they figure out what the problem is permanently soon...
