Outlook Calendar Notifications all Show in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone

My wife shared her outlook.com calendar with me.  We both have our time zones set to Eastern Time on outlook.com.  However, whenever I get a notification that she added something to her calendar it shows in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone just in the notification.

For instance it says...

When: Wednesday, March 29, 2017 12:30 AM-1:00 AM. (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik

... when she makes an appointment at 8:30pm Eastern Time on 3/28.  Both the time shows correctly on both of our calendars.  Only the notification is wrong.  How do I fix that?

To further isolate the issue, we would like to know which email domain are you using? We also suggest that you access this email domain via browser and check the time zone.

    Regards.

    Hi Darian,

My wife's email account is @outlook.com and my email account is @live.com.

I have already checked the time zone in both of our accounts via a browser.

And, as per your last request, changed the time zone in both accounts (via browser), created a test message, and received the same incorrect calendar notification email. I have changed the time zones back to the correct settings on both of our accounts.

This issue is not a result of an incorrect time zone from any of our email accounts (both online via browser and Outlook desktop version), computers, or phones.

Thank you for continuing to look into this on your end.

    Randy

    Hi Darian,

I changed the time zones in both my wife's and my Outlook.com accounts. My wife created a new calendar item, and the result was the same; the incorrect. See screen shot below.

Thank you for send us the warning message. We will look in to it to find the best solution regarding the issue. Meanwhile, we recommend following these steps to change the time zone and language setting in Outlook.com:

    1. In the upper-right corner, select Settings , then Options.
    2. Under Options, select General > Region and time zone.
    3. Under Region and time zones settings, select the language, date and time formats, and a different time zoneyou want to use in Outlook.
    4. Select Save.

By doing this, we'll further isolate the issue by checking if changing your time zone to a different one will affect its current situation.

Do update us with your notification status after performing these steps.

    Regards.
