My wife shared her outlook.com calendar with me. We both have our time zones set to Eastern Time on outlook.com. However, whenever I get a notification that she added something to her calendar it shows in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone just in the notification.
For instance it says...
When: Wednesday, March 29, 2017 12:30 AM-1:00 AM. (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik
... when she makes an appointment at 8:30pm Eastern Time on 3/28. Both the time shows correctly on both of our calendars. Only the notification is wrong. How do I fix that?

did you even read what people already posted? Its mentioned in several posts they the timezones have been set up correctly in outlook.com, on their account settings and in their mail clients and computers.
additionally, the calendar events are created at the correct time. It's only the notifications that are sent to contacts that the calendar is shared with, have the wrong timezone.
how many times do people have to say this before you accept it's a bug on MS side (outlook.com)
I am having the same problems (Reykjavik Time Zone in notifications). The problem came from nowhere and all the timezone settings available to us end users are ,of course, configured correctly.
(My assumptions is that MS are upgrading their software/infrastructure in some kind of blocks and we are unlucky to be in different clusters than the people with whom we are sharing our calendars.)
One think is for sure. The replies we are getting from Microsoft support on this forum wound NEVER PASS the Turing test (The Turing test, developed by Alan Turing in 1950, is a test of a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behaviour equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human).

We appreciate your earnest enthusiasm to get this issue resolved. The Time Zone discrepancy might have been caused by the incorrect setup of the Time Zone when you have first signed to your Outlook Web App. We suggest that you check the troubleshooting steps provided in the link below.

My wife and I are having the exact same issue.
I have checked our both of our region settings. We both use Microsoft Lumia 950's for our mobile devices where most of these appointments are scheduled from using the native Outlook and Calendar app. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. For the record, I believe we started seeing this after the outlook.com backend was upgraded to be more "Exchange" like.
