Outlook Calendar Notifications all Show in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone

My wife shared her outlook.com calendar with me.  We both have our time zones set to Eastern Time on outlook.com.  However, whenever I get a notification that she added something to her calendar it shows in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone just in the notification.

For instance it says...

When: Wednesday, March 29, 2017 12:30 AM-1:00 AM. (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik

... when she makes an appointment at 8:30pm Eastern Time on 3/28.  Both the time shows correctly on both of our calendars.  Only the notification is wrong.  How do I fix that?

    Microsoft, this is not an isolated issue. I, too, have been experiencing the exact same problem. This should perhaps be escalated to the next tier support.

    Sorry this doesn't help but I have the exact same issue. I've checked the time zone settings in Outlook.com for both of our accounts. Even if we put events in from Outlook.com, the email notifications will return back as (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik.

    When we both check the shared calendar, any new events are in the correct time zone. It's just the email notification that's incorrectly displaying UTC+00:00 Monrovia, Reykjavik.

    I have the exact same problem.

    Both accounts are outlook.com and neither of us are using the Office/Outlook desktop client.

    All interactions occur strictly via web or native/MS Windows 10 Mail & Calendar apps.

    All local PC account/OS settings and all online account/calendar settings related to time zone/region are the same and correct.

    Changing the time zone to something else has no effect, the email notification still comes in with UTC Monrovia Reykjavik.

    Despite all of this the events are actually created and displayed correctly in the calendar using our EST time zone, only the email notifications show the wrong UTC times.

    FYI - We have the same issue here at the office, where we have Office 365 via our LAN.  All time zones are properly set (Central) in both the Outlook software AND on the Web App.

    This is not just a web app/personal user issue. It occurs within the actual installed software on a PC.

    I noticed it on read receipts. Since we use the actual calendar within Outlook (vs. the web app), I haven't had occasion to notice it when making a calendar event setting.

    However, this is clearly a bug in the Microsoft Software itself, and not user error.

    Getting exactly the same. Items created on my wife's calendar using Windows mobile 10 and viewed by me on desktop in Outlook 2016. I have checked every timezone setting everywhere and they are all correct. On September 16th 2016 the timezones displayed correctly. The next shared event was sent on March 21st 2017 where it had a different layout and the timezone was wrong.

    Come on Microsoft, this cannot be that difficult to fix.
