Outlook Calendar Notifications all Show in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone

My wife shared her outlook.com calendar with me.  We both have our time zones set to Eastern Time on outlook.com.  However, whenever I get a notification that she added something to her calendar it shows in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone just in the notification.

For instance it says...

When: Wednesday, March 29, 2017 12:30 AM-1:00 AM. (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik

... when she makes an appointment at 8:30pm Eastern Time on 3/28.  Both the time shows correctly on both of our calendars.  Only the notification is wrong.  How do I fix that?

    Hi,

    I'm having the exact same problem. My wife and I share our calenders with eachother and we receive calender update events in the wrong timezone as well (always in UTC+0).

    Hi Sherry,

    I checked the Region and time zone setting and the Calendar Appearance setting on a different computer, different browser than I usually use, and in private browsing. I also check time zone settings on all of our computers and both phones. And, I checked the time zone settings in the desktop version of Outlook on all computers. All time zone settings are correct (UTC-08:00 Pacific Time). Added a test appointment on my wife's calendar and received the following calendar notification.

    Any other suggestions? Thank much for any help you can provide!

    Hoping that MS will do the right thing and acknowledge that this is a bug and devote resources to fixing it.

    Hello Randy,

    Setting up timezone is one of the important things to do in Outlook.com. The time that was set up is the one that will show up in the receive and sent emails.

    Your screenshot shows that you're trying to change the timezone and that is the correct way, however we are still having issues with it.

    We would like to request if you can be able to use other device to set up the timezone settings of the account. In this case, we would highly recommend to use in private browsing whatever browser you would use.

    Also, kindly check the computer's timezone as well and see if they are the same.
