Outlook Calendar Notifications all Show in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone

My wife shared her outlook.com calendar with me.  We both have our time zones set to Eastern Time on outlook.com.  However, whenever I get a notification that she added something to her calendar it shows in (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik Time Zone just in the notification.

For instance it says...

When: Wednesday, March 29, 2017 12:30 AM-1:00 AM. (UTC+00:00) Monrovia, Reykjavik

... when she makes an appointment at 8:30pm Eastern Time on 3/28.  Both the time shows correctly on both of our calendars.  Only the notification is wrong.  How do I fix that?

My wife and I are also having the same problem.  Our time zones are both set to London but whenever one of us creates an event in our shared calendar the email notification shows the time zone as Monrovia, Reykjavik which is 1 hour different.

FYI - We have the same issue here at the office, where we have Office 365 via our LAN.  All time zones are properly set (Central) in both the Outlook software AND on the Web App.

This is not just a web app/personal user issue. It occurs within the actual installed software on a PC.

I noticed it on read receipts. Since we use the actual calendar within Outlook (vs. the web app), I haven't had occasion to notice it when making a calendar event setting.

However, this is clearly a bug in the Microsoft Software itself, and not user error.

Figured I too would reply to this thread as it seems to be the most active ATM. I have noticed this issue for a while with my and my wife's accounts. We also share calendars and when I get emails of new/updated items to her calendar they come to me with the time zone set for Monrovia, Reykjavik instead of Central Time which both of our accounts are set to. Not sure if this well help or not but is happens whether we use the web application (outlook.com) or the Outlook app on Android. If there's anything I can do to help debug this issue, please let me know.

    Hello Randy,

Setting up timezone is one of the important things to do in Outlook.com. The time that was set up is the one that will show up in the receive and sent emails.

Your screenshot shows that you're trying to change the timezone and that is the correct way, however we are still having issues with it.

We would like to request if you can be able to use other device to set up the timezone settings of the account. In this case, we would highly recommend to use in private browsing whatever browser you would use.

Also, kindly check the computer's timezone as well and see if they are the same.

We would like to hear more regarding this issue, feel free to reply on this thread for us to further assist you.

    Hi Desiree,

We have not made any account changes recently, and I have just recently noticed that the calendar notifications have the incorrect time zone (probably within the last month or two).

I have confirmed the correct time zones (PST) in our desktop Outlook applications, Outlook.com accounts (both of our accounts [see screen shot below]), Microsoft account information, and on both of our phones.

I receive calendar notifications to my email account (@live.com) when a calendar item is added to my wife's calendar (@outlook.com account). She usually adds the calendar item from her phone but also does from her laptop computer using the desktop version of Outlook. Either way I receive the calendar notifications with the incorrect time/zone to my email address.

I hope this information clarifies this situation. Thank you in advance for any suggestions you have.

    Randy

**In the screen shot below, the correct time zone displays in both the Region and time zone and Calendar appearance areas. These setting are the same in both my and my wife's accounts.
