Lost/stolen iphone - how to log out of Hotmail remotely

My iPhone has been stolen and I am concerned because there is a browser window open and logged in to Hotmail. 

How can I log out of all Hotmail sessions, thereby closing the one on the iPhone remotely?

There is also a quick link to email on the homepage of the iPhone, but I have changed the Hotmail password which I believe stops this working, whereas the browser window stays logged in even after the password has been changed.

I have found advice elsewhere that says you can log out of all sessions by going to "options", "personal", but I cannot find these options on my Hotmail.

    Hi,

    Changing your password will prevent the account from staying signed in on your lost or stolen iPhone. The feature that you're looking for (log out all session) is no longer available in Hotmail.

    Please be informed that when you change your password, the system will redirect you to sign in page and enter the new password. In this way, it will break any connection and prevent "if someone" has tried to access your account on your lost\stolen iPhone.

    It doesn't work. I had my hotmail opened on my ipad. Subsequently I changed the password but I am still logged on my ipad. I can get emails and can even send out new emails. 

    I used a laptop of a client to open my hotmail & forgot to sign out after the meeting. Now, I can't call the client as it will show distrust on my part & even then I won't believe the client. This is ridiculous. I got hotmail sometime back and now I don't want to change my email but these sort of lack of feature makes it a backward system. Gmal has this feature. Furthermore, Ryniel you are a moderator of this community and i would have expected a proper response from your side or atleast you should accept the fact that hotmail doesn't have any solution for it. However, you are misleading which is pi**ing me even more.

    Hi,

    Once you changed your password, not in your ipad, the other user will not be able to get into your account already. Should your client do some activities in your account as you forgot to logged out, your client won't be able to continue on as he/she will be prompted with the sign in page.

    Are you suggesting that on I-Pad is a unique case and on laptop the hotmail connection will be broken?

    Because, this is what I did and it didn't work:

    1. I logged into hotmail on my I-Pad as well as my Laptop
    2. I changed my Hotmail password on my Laptop.
    3. I logged out of hotmail on my latop
    4. I logged in again to hotmail on my laptop with new password.
    5. Now, I tried to send an email through my IPad (even though I had changed the password). I was succesfuly able to send email & recieve emails on I-Pad for full day i.e. next 5-6 hours without being prompted for a change of password.
    1. I came home at the end of day and now my I-Pad reconnected with a new network. This time I was prompted for a change in hotmail password.

    Atleast for I-Pad if you change password on laptop you can continue to work on existing session on I-Pad unless your network connectivity is broken. If this is not the case for laptop I'll be glad.
