Original title: Outlook LIVE (outlook.com) "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later".
I have a custom domain running Outlook LIVE through outlook.com. I've had an old passport account which has been with me for a long time but didn't used to have email associated with it. I recently updated it to have email enabled, but I'm not able to login to outlook live with that account.
How can I get around the "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later" error, or determine what the problem is? I waited about a month but I'm still having the same problem. I would really like to get email onto this account since it's the account I have all of my other things (xbox, phone, win8) pointed to.
Thanks

Can't read my Hotmail something went wrong...
I went to Chrome settings and did a reset and Outlook opened up normally after signing in.
I was consistently getting the error from December 2017-March 2018 on my computers, so I resorted to the workaround of using a different email address as the primary alias during that time.
In April 2018, I changed my primary alias back to my normal email address and lo and behold, it works again. So it seems that either Microsoft solved the problem (or some other explanation) during that time... at least for my account, using the same computers.
I've had the same issue. I called the technical support and they sent me through every step multiple times. Then told me if I wanted 100% issue resolution, I'd have to pay a fee....$149.99 fee BTW. For an issue THEY CREATED. I went and created a new Outlook email to see if it was a computer issue and I generated, logged in, emailed from that new acct without this error message.
They're holding my acct hostage basically.
